Probiotics for Skin Health

Probiotic bacteria (from the Greek pro-bios, “for life”) are also known as live lactic acid bacteria, and according to the official definition by FAO and WHO, “when administered in adequate amounts, they confer a health benefit to the host.”

Sacco System produces and distributes a wide range of probiotic live cultures specially developed for skin health, and in particular for the treatment of problems such as atopic dermatitis and acne.

Sacco System probiotic live cultures for the treatment of acne and dermatitis

The Sacco System range of probiotics includes both individual strains and complex mixtures of probiotic live cultures for the skin, clinically developed and capable of fully satisfying all the needs of the market.

Lactobacillus Rhamnosus SP 1

Acne is a very common chronic inflammatory disease which causes multiple skin lesions that can even lead to undesirable permanent scars in serious cases. Lactobacillus rhamnosus SP 1 blocks the inflammatory processes that lead to the appearance of acne and proliferation of P. Acnes, which is one of the main causes of this disorder. Particularly recommended for adolescents and adults.

Lactobacillus Rhamnosus LB21

A probiotic strain that is effective against atopic dermatitis, allowing a reduction in the use of corticosteroids (cortisone). Particularly recommended for children aged 0-3 years.

Lactobacillus rhamnosus LB21 + Lactobacillus rhamnosus SP 1

The topical application of these two probiotics has shown, in a clinical study, the ability to effectively reduce atopic dermatitis in adults affected by this condition.
