Notre engagement en faveur du développement durable : bilan d’une trajectoire évolutive

Nous sommes fiers de présenter la cinquième édition de notre rapport de durabilité, une occasion de réfléchir sur les réalisations atteintes et les défis à venir. Ces dernières années, nous avons mis en œuvre des projets significatifs, notamment dans le domaine de l’économie circulaire, transformant notre cycle de production. Grâce à ces initiatives, nous avons réduit de 70 % la production de déchets, en redirigeant plus de 12 000 tonnes de sous-produits par an vers de nouveaux cycles de production, prolongeant ainsi la durée de vie des matériaux dans les chaînes de valeur.

Sur le plan social, nous nous sommes concentrés sur la croissance et la stabilité de nos collaborateurs : plus de 97 % de nos contrats sont à durée indéterminée et près de 95 % de notre personnel a participé à des activités de formation. Cette approche nous a permis de faire preuve de résilience face à des périodes complexes comme la pandémie.

Pour Sacco System, la durabilité est un pilier stratégique qui guide la recherche et l’innovation, visant à relever des défis mondiaux tels que la réduction du gaspillage alimentaire et la promotion de chaînes d’approvisionnement agroalimentaires durables.

À partir de 2026, nous respecterons la directive européenne sur la publication d’informations en matière de durabilité (CSRD), une étape cruciale pour consolider notre démarche. Nous travaillons déjà sur un reporting intégré, impliquant toutes les entreprises du groupe et actualisant les thématiques matérielles selon le principe de double matérialité, afin d’assurer un modèle commercial aligné sur les attentes des parties prenantes et les défis environnementaux et sociaux.

Sacco System continuera à contribuer au développement durable, en s’adaptant à un contexte en constante évolution et en garantissant un modèle résilient grâce au dialogue et à l’engagement avec tous nos partenaires.

Sacco System is a company with strong values, born over 150 years ago and still owned by the Verga Family, starting with the rennet production, nowadays is recognized worldwide as a biotech excellence in the production if enzyme, cultures, probiotics, postbiotics and LPB’s.

« Our Brisbane laboratories are designed to deliver early development for our fermentations. We aim to create industrial processes that are robust, reliable and compliant to regulation for a broad variety of microbes. Starting with our in-silico work we can bring all steps of fermentations to a volume of 30L to deliver the information necessary for our larger scale facilities to work effectively ”, said Max Rossetto, Microbial Therapeutics Global Business Development Director.

Australia was chosen as the site of our process development related to Next-gen microorganisms and live biotherapeutics for a number of reasons. It is easy set up a business in Australia, a modern, high quality business location with stable government, transparent regulations and which has deep and broad connections with Italy as mentioned by the Consul. This together with the presence of a cluster of microbiome related businesses and an impressive academic sector in Southern Queensland made Brisbane a natural choice for the first Sacco System site in the Asia Pacific region.

La réunion technique sur l’utilisation de notre culture Lyofast LRB dans la conservation du lait, présentant un grand nombre de cas d’application réussis en améliorant la qualité de la matière première et donc en améliorant la qualité des produits laitiers et le rendement fromager obtenu, a été un excellent espace d’enrichissement et d’échange technique pour tous les participants.

Le président argentin Alberto Fernández a piloté, à l’usine Danone, le lancement d’un aliment produit à partir d’une souche probiotique L. rhamnosus CRL 1505™, développé par CONICET, qui améliore la santé respiratoire et gastro-intestinale.

Il s’agit d’une nouvelle gamme de yaourts qui sera distribuée dans des institutions à vocation sociale à travers le pays.

La licence de cette bactérie lactique, isolée du lait de chèvre à Tucumán, est également « exportée » – dans le cadre d’un accord entre Conicet et l’une des plus importantes sociétés productrices de probiotiques au monde, Sacco srl, qui permet sa commercialisation à être inclus dans différents aliments et produits biopharmaceutiques.

La souche L. rhamnosus CRL 1505™ est capable de stimuler le système immunitaire, d’optimiser les défenses naturelles lors de la prévention ou du traitement des infections respiratoires et intestinales causées par des virus et des bactéries, contribuant ainsi à une amélioration de la qualité de vie et de la santé.
