Silage is plant-based fodder for herbivores and omnivores obtained via lactic fermentation of plant material (fodders and feeds), which forms the basis of the dairy food chain.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n

Traditional ensilage techniques aim to stimulate natural lactic fermentation in the silage fodder, allowing it to reach the right level of acidification and preventing other microorganisms from colonising the plant matter and causing a decrease in nutritional value, with the development of substances that are potentially toxic for the animals.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n
